Tim Nash unfortunately had to retire due to a sprained knee and then strained hamstring
Wykeham Exiles 4 Beat Totton 2 in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 4 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. This turned out to be the case with a Home win.

On paper, the number 2 string should have been the closest, with only 23 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Steve Raynsford, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 1 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 131 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Simon Dalton.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 5 string, Stuart Cox, gaining 40 Ranking Points from the match.

With 3 strings going the distance, the match turned out to be a hard-fought battle.

Player of the match must be the Away number 5 string, Stuart Cox, who over-turned a 183 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.

If the Away No. 3 player, Tim Nash, had not had to withdraw after 3 game(s) the result could have been closer.
